Ashby & Moira District Community First Responder Scheme Welcome
Ashby Responders are a team of volunteers who are trained to respond to emergency calls in conjunction with East Midlands Ambulance Service.
Based in the community and surrounding area of Ashby De La Zouch, Leicestershire, we aim to attend the scene of an emergency 999 call within the first few minutes.
The responder can then begin to administer life saving first aid until the arrival of an ambulance, greatly increasing the patients chances of survival.
We are not a replacement for the Ambulance Service, but we are a team that provides life support to those in need and a vital link in the chain of survival.
Ashby & Moira District Community First Responders provide cover for the follwing areas:
Ashby De La Zouch ( including Blackfordby, Boundary, Willesly, Shellbrook and Gelsmoor), Ashby Woulds (including Albert Village, Booththorpe, Moira, Norris Hill and Spring Cottage) Overseal and Packington.
